The New York-based company announced the reduced card after it received FDA approval for its Celebrex® prescription. Pfizer’s Celebrex® savings card is currently unavailable to patients or their healthcare providers due to its generic form. The company said the savings card’s reduced membership fee will be distributed to more than 1,100 eligible consumers in the third quarter of this year. “Our goal is to make Celebrex® a household name for the rest of the year,” Pfizer CEO Martin Shkreli said in a statement. “This is an unprecedented shift in how we do business. With a significant reduction in Celebrex® prescription card revenue, the pharmaceutical industry is in the midst of a new wave of acquisitions. This is a major turning point for Pfizer, which has grown from a $1.7 billion annual revenue share to $13.7 billion since the release of Celebrex® in March 2025.
